In other games played in Group 2 on 13 July, Russia beat Germany, 7-6, and Greece beat Italy, 2-1. In Group 1, the Netherlands defeated Croatia, 5-3; Sweden beat France, 7-1, and Belgium overcame the Czech Republic, 2-1.
