Lusk leads Bucs to first win

The Buccaneers got off the mark for the season with a convincing victory over Burgess Hill. The game exploded into action in the fifth inning as the lead changed hands, before Kieran Lusk slugged in two runs with a double. He followed this up by scoring two more baserunners with a triple in the bottom of the seventh. Lusk went onto play and score for the first team later in the day.

Second Team Promoted

The Brighton Buccaneers’ second Senior team, coached by Kevin Gogan, have been promoted the Premier Division after a 21-11 win over the Bournemouth Sharks.

Louis Chesney led the Bucs offense with two doubles and three RBI. George Lintern went 4-for-4 and drove in another three runs. Orlando Lopez drove in four runs in support of Alistair Clemett, who struck out six Bournemouth batters to earn the win.

The Bucs finished the season in the First Division with with a 10-3 record.
